Meet our staff

Dr. Alayna Alford, DVM, CCRP, CHT-V

Dr. Alayna Alford is a Lexington native and a 2011 graduate of the University of Kentucky. She attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2015. While completing a small animal rotating internship, Dr. Alford discovered her passion for integrative medicine. She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) in 2017 through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist-Veterinary (CHT-V) by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Technology (NBDHMT). She has been practicing veterinary integrative medicine in the Lexington area since 2016 with a focus on a balanced approach to health and recovery, as well as strengthening the human-animal bond. 

 

Dr. Alford lives in Lexington, KY with her husband, Dave, and two dogs (Brownie and Rue).  Dr. Alford loves spending time with family and friends. Her pastimes include gardening, hiking, and helping her husband renovate houses. 

 

Ashlee Clem, LVT

Ashlee graduated from the veterinary technology program at Morehead State University in 2002. The majority of her career as a licensed veterinarian technician has been in leadership roles and specialty medicine in Lexington, KY.  Since 2016 she has been working as a small animal rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen technician with Dr. Alford. 

 

Ashlee is the practice manager and one of the small animal rehabilitation technicians at Lexington Veterinary Rehabilitation. Ashlee loves to be part of a team that always keeps the best interest of the patient first while maintaining a strong open relationship with the pet parents.  Ashlee enjoys seeing the pets excited to come to their appointments and be a part of improving their overall quality of life.  

 

 

Ashlee resides in Cynthiana, KY with her husband, Shannon and her 2 dogs (Jax and Ruby). She spends her free time training her dogs, spending time with family, and enjoying the outdoors. 

 

 

Genty Bean, LVT

Gentry is a licensed veterinary technician with a special interest in small animal rehabilitation. Gentry is a 2020 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology. Gentry worked in a general practice as a veterinary technician for a few years before discovering her love for small animal rehabilitation. She feels her greatest joy about working at Lexington Veterinary Rehabilitation is the opportunity to build relationships with both the pet owners and the pets. 

 

Gentry resides in Lexington with her husband, Chapman. They have 3 dogs (Brayleigh, Booker, Rhett). Gentry enjoys cooking, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. 

 

 

 

Jesse Purdy

Jesse is a receptionist at LexVetRehab. He attended Mt. St. Joseph University in Cincinnati Ohio. He has two years experience as reception lead at a lexington dog resort. He enjoys interacting with both humans and animals and is interested in further expanding his knowledge of veterinary rehabilitation. He lives with two cats with one being a hairless sphynx. He enjoys being outside in nature and rollerblading. He is excited to work in a warm, inviting atmosphere with great employees that work as a team. 

 

 

Rebekah Farmer

Bekah is a receptionist who lives with her husband, son, and a miniature house cow named Sola. Sola is a full blooded Great Pyrenees and is best friends with her little human toddler brother. She enjoys guarding and herding her family, sleeping, chasing lightning bugs and barking at the dishwasher. Along with a deep passion for animal care, Bekah also loves baking a fierce cheesecake, other baked goods, cooking, playing with her wonderful son, the occasional glass of champagne, reading and being outside whenever possible. Even when she first came to LexVetRehab, Bekah immediately felt a sense of family, friendliness, and real connection with humans and animals alike. It doesn’t hurt that she gets to pet dogs and cats all day either.
